Cartier Fabergé 67082
The Cartier “Fabergé” reference 67082 is a beautifully sculptural expression of the maison’s design language from the 1970s. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the watch is distinguished by its elegant 20 × 27mm oval case, whose softly rounded proportions create an almost jewel-like presence on the wrist. A classic white dial with black Roman numerals provides the unmistakable Cartier signature, while a leather strap keeps the focus firmly on the unusual architecture of the case.
Excellent vintage condition
Cartier’s strength has always been its ability to take simple geometric forms and transform them into instantly recognizable designs. During the 1970s, the maison produced an especially diverse range of shaped watches as part of the Louis Cartier collection, experimenting with proportions and silhouettes that extended far beyond the traditional Tank.
The reference 67082, often referred to by collectors as the “Fabergé,” is a particularly charming example. Its elongated oval form is defined by a substantial gold surround that gives the case a sense of depth and volume. Rather than relying on elaborate decoration, the design derives its character from proportion and shape- the polished 18k yellow gold creating a sculptural frame around the smaller dial at its center.
The dial itself remains quintessentially Cartier. A crisp white ground is paired with bold black Roman numerals, providing a restrained counterpoint to the more expressive case. This balance between an unconventional silhouette and familiar Cartier design codes is what makes the watch so compelling.
Inside is a manually wound movement, preserving the mechanical character and refined proportions expected of vintage Cartier. Paired simply with a leather strap, the watch feels elegant and understated despite its distinctive shape.
Preserved in excellent vintage condition, this example is sold as watch only and is accompanied by a two-year guarantee from Hausmann in Italy. With its sculptural 18k yellow gold case, classic Roman numeral dial, and distinctive “Fabergé” silhouette, the reference 67082 is a wonderful representation of the creativity and variety found within the Louis Cartier collection of the 1970s
